Vic Vuchic

Vice President of Data, Impact, and Learning

Vic Vuchic serves as Vice President of Data, Impact, and Learning at The Sobrato Organization, where he leads enterprise-wide strategy for data, learning, and artificial intelligence (AI). In this role, he partners across philanthropy, real estate, and capital to strengthen organizational learning, support strategic decision-making, and explore how emerging technologies can deepen insight, elevate community voice, and expand impact in service of thriving communities.

Vic brings more than two decades of experience spanning philanthropy, education systems, engineering, innovation, and AI transformation. Prior to joining TSO, he served as Senior Advisor to the President of U.S. Programs and the Data and AI team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he helped advance organizational AI capacity, strengthen strategic learning, and improve visibility into rapidly evolving technologies and markets.

Previously, Vic served as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Digital Promise Global, where he led strategy and applied research, including launching and leading the Learner Variability Project. Earlier, he managed grantmaking portfolios at the Hewlett Foundation and began his career as a systems engineer in Silicon Valley.

Vic holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Education, Learning, Design, and Technology from Stanford University, where he studied learning sciences. He also attended Berklee College of Music for a year and studied Jazz Performance.

A Bay Area resident, Vic enjoys cooking, hiking, camping throughout Northern California, and attending live music performances with his wife and their two children.
