Tom Kaheli

Tom Kaheli is a Sr. Program Associate for the Family Initiatives and New Opportunities team. He supports the family’s individual philanthropic efforts as well as the exploration into new areas of giving, such as climate and ocean health.

Prior to joining Sobrato Philanthropies in late 2021, Tom supported operations for the Patagonia environmental grants program and their grantee capacity building platform, Patagonia Action Works. Tom also brings a wide breadth of other experiences,  including work for a tech startup, tech research and development, sports retail, and food manufacturing/distribution. He holds a B.S. from the University of Oregon in Business Administration with a focus on environmental studies.
