Jennifer Ancheta-Garcia

SEAL Trainer

Jennifer Ancheta-Garcia brings a strong background in early literacy education, and a dedicated commitment to English Language Learners to her work as a SEAL Associate Trainer. While incorporating Common Core Standards through the SEAL model for several years as a trained SEAL classroom teacher in the Oak Grove School District, Ms. Ancheta-Garcia has seen the positive effects SEAL strategies have on students first hand—noting high-level engagement and a newfound confidence among her students. In 2014, she received the Oak Grove School District’s Vision “Communications” Award recognizing her exemplary work with students and colleagues, and she now provides on-site SEAL training and support for teachers and districts. Ms. Ancheta-Garcia holds a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from San Jose State University and a BA in Visual Communication Design from San Francisco State University.
