Eligibility
The Foundation conducts a competitive review process for office space grants. Awards are based on the following:
- Organizations must be working to expand opportunity for low-income residents of Silicon Valley, specifically within the following priority communities of: East and Downtown San Jose, Redwood City, North Fair Oaks, Hayward, unincorporated Southern Alameda County, South San Francisco, Daly City, East Palo Alto, Belle Haven, Shoreview, Half Moon Bay, Pescadero, Gilroy. - Applicants must be a registered 501(c)3 nonprofits working in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and/or Southern Alameda
- The applicant’s organizational capacity to support its mission, including program quality and effectiveness, staff and board leadership, and financial sustainability and effective operations
- The applicants ability to demonstrate their financial responsibility and ability to pay in accordance with the lease
- The applicant’s effective use of space relative to the available unit
- The applicant’s track record for collaborating and working within a network of nonprofit organizations
