COVID-19 has exacerbated pre-existing equity crisis when it comes to college access, persistence and completion. Our Postsecondary Success portfolio deploys levers across college access, persistence and career to increase the number of low-income, first generation Silicon Valley attaining a degree and strong first job.
Our portfolio supports nonprofit organizations that address one or more of the following strategic levers, driving toward the outcome of increased pathways linking college access, college completion and career readiness to achieve upward economic mobility for low-income students in Silicon Valley:
- “Push” toward college: provide students with the supports to be eligible, to apply for and to enroll in college.
- “Persist” in college: support students to complete their BA (those in four-year schools, and supporting community college students toward transfer).
- “Pull” into good first jobs: create career readiness and transition supports.
This program is not accepting unsolicited proposals, but we welcome the opportunity to learn about funding ideas and organizations working to catalyze economic mobility in Silicon Valley. To submit an inquiry, please click here.
