Thriving Nonprofit Sector Program

SFF’s Thriving Nonprofit Sector Program began in early 2014 with the intention to increase the effectiveness, scalability, and systemic impact of our nonprofit partners, and to support the development of more high-quality nonprofit leaders. Throughout the year, our goal is to build deeper awareness of the work of our tenants, our conference center users, and all of our community’s nonprofits through grantee stories and networking events. And we aim to help strengthen outcome-based partners through nonprofit leadership development and training programs.

The goal of our “Building Blocks for Creating Impact” speaker series is to provide an opportunity for nonprofit, philanthropy, and government leaders to come together and explore ways to strengthen local programs and services to best address the complex challenges facing our region. Series content focuses on the building blocks key to creating impact, including theories of change and logic models, aligned performance metrics, and business models that support sustainability and scale. The Foundation believes furthering the development of these tools is not only important to our own success, but that of our region’s nonprofits, and critical to attracting more philanthropic resources to address local needs.
