John M. Sobrato

Mr. Sobrato is the third generation to be involved with the family-owned firm where he has worked since his teens. As CEO, he has primary responsibility for the strategic direction of the firm's portfolio of over 15 million square feet of commercial and residential income properties as well as the company's investments in global marketable securities. Mr. Sobrato graduated from Santa Clara University in 1983 with a BSC. He and his wife of 20 years, Abby, have two adult sons. He is very involved in the local community and is currently serving on the Board of Regents of Santa Clara University, and the Boards of Trustees of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, KQED Public Television, Bellarmine College Preparatory, American Musical Theater San Jose and the Charities Housing Development Corporation. He has also served as past president and is an emeritus board member of KTEH, Catholic Charities, the San Jose Rep and the Board of Fellows of Santa Clara University.
